Planning for security is the best approach to liability avoidance and minimizing business disruption caused by a non-business event. To address this area, Security By Design has created some customized products, which are described below.

Security Master Plans

AALA works with our clients to create an overall framework for projecting an organization's security program. This framework is based on a review of the client's:

· operational philosophy
· their place in a market or industry segment
· future business plans
· overall security program objectives

The framework carefully identifies the security elements currently in place and those projected to be available in the future. Comparing those on hand and the predicted security elements with the typical security threats anticipated 5 to 10 years in the future enables us to develop a Security Master Plan. This master plan identifies the key security system elements that are required to effectively handle the predicted threats and protect the organization's assets, along with the time phasing of their acquisition and activation.

An effective security master plan must be reviewed on a regular basis.

A review will ensure that interim organization or industry changes have not compromised any part of the future planning.

Long Range Implementation Plans

This type of plan builds off of the security master plan or an existing client generated security plan.

A long range implementation plan identifies the order or priority for implementation of the various pieces of the planned security program.

The priority may be based on a combination of:

· budget
· operational necessity
· interrelationships of other corporate program elements
· new government or industry regulations
· identification of new or emerging threats to an organization's assets or productivity.

As with the security master plans, projecting 5 or 10 years into the future is a murky look at best with the enormous rate of change that is present in technology as well as emerging threats to organizations brought about by some of the same technology advances.

Therefore, periodic review of these plans is essential once they are in place. AALA can initiate the plan and assist in periodic reviews and recommendations for plan updates.

Executive Protection Planning

The Executive Protection Plan identifies the vulnerabilities specific to each individual executive.

Vulnerabilities evaluated include:

· residential
· travel
· family
· life style
· existing organization protective programs

An executive protection plan is developed that recommends improved procedures, additional residential and vehicle security equipment, and corporate security monitoring capabilities if needed, based upon the vulnerabilities found.
